Lake Mead Kayak Tour with Valley of Fire State Park

What a perfect land and water tour from Las Vegas: A paddle on Lake Mead and a sightseeing tour in the Valley of Fire State Park!

Lake Mead was the country's first National Recreation area,dedicated in 1964, and with the construction of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead became the largest man made lake in the western hemisphere. The Valley of Fire State Park is Nevada's oldest, and largest state park, and the fiery red rocks and unique sandstone rock formations are a photographer's dream.

We will launch our kayaks near Echo Bay on the northern end of Lake Mead (about a 1 hours drive from Las Vegas). As you paddle the cool clear waters of Lake Mead, you will be surrounded by towering mountains of different shapes and colors, the perfect backdrop for this adventure.

The stop at the Valley of Fire State Park will included hiking and sightseeing, including viewing the Native American Petroglyphs that help us to imagine what life was like during the inhabitation of this area by the Anassazi and Pueblo Tribes. 

Water time is approximately 2 hours and the Valley of Fire State Park is approximately 1 hour, times may vary.

Fishing and snorkeling gear are available at no charge, but if you plan to fish,you must purchase a Fishing License prior to tour. They are available at the Nevada Department of Wildlife website, and if you can't print it out, you may contact our office to do so for you, and your guide will bring it along. 

Vessels areLiquid Logic Versa Boards, a great hybrid that combines a tradtional sit down kayak with a stand up paddleboard (SUP). Just flip the seat up or down according to how you want to paddle. All vessels have spring loaded rudders to aid in navigating through the water, operated with a simple hand lever.

Snorkeling and Fishing Gear are available at no cost, but if you plan to fish, you need to purchase a Fishing License. Licenses are available online at the Nevada Department of Wildlife Website, please read all instructions clearly because you need a 'stamp' as well as the license. If you don't have access to a printer after purchasing your license online, please email our office and we can print it out for you and send with your guide

Reservations cancelled 7+ days prior to reservation date receive full refund
Reservations cancelled 3-6 days prior to tour date will receive 50% refund if balance has been paid in full. If balance has not been paid in full, deposit will be forfeited and no refunds due.
Reservations cancelled less than 2 days prior to tour date receive no refunds.
  • Must be 12 or older to paddle solo, 6 or older to paddle tandem
  • Under 18 must have parent or guardian present
  • Quick drying clothing (not cotton)
  • Layers in cooler months
  • Water Shoes/River Sandals recommended-or extra pair of dry shoes 
  • Change of clothing for Valley of Fire and return trip
