Indian Adventures -SBW-4K(PAP)
This tour gets you to the SKYWALK!!! You can’t really know the history of the Grand Canyon just by learning about the formation of the land…you need to know the history of its inhabitants. This tour offers both, as you journey in the remote West Rim of the Grand Canyon and experience culture and history at an Indian Village. Enjoy a comfortable flight with views of Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, the Colorado River and more on your way to the Hualapai Nation. Upon arrival, a shuttle will take you to the Indian Village.
This village consists of exhibits about the Hualapai Tribe, and 3 other Arizona Tribes, including authentic, hand constructed dwellings that are representative of many Plains Indians.
Enjoy a light lunch at Guano Point before your return flight to Las Vegas.
SKYWALK OPTION: The Hualapai Nation has completed the famous, long awaited SKYWALK. During this tour, you’ll have time to take in this engineering wonder. The Skywalk allows visitors to walk out and into the Canyon, peering through the glass floor down at the Canyon or over the glass walls into the valley beyond. It is the highest man-made structure in the world, affording visitors a 720 degree view of the Canyon. Able to support the weight of 71 fully loaded Boeing 747 airplanes and sustain winds in excess of 100 miles per hour, the Skywalk is an engineering first, passing engineering requirements and specifications by 400 percent. The walls and floor are built from four inch thick glass so clear visitors could think they’re walking on clouds. Visitors are provided with shoe covers to prevent the glass floor from being scratched.
Admittance to the Skywalk is first come, first served; 120 visitors are allowed at a time.
An Entrance fee of US$25.00 per person is payable upon entering the Skywalk. Shuttle busses operate every 15 minutes and run between the airport and Eagle & Guano Points.
The Skywalk is located at Eagle Point. A ‘VIP’ line will be available for those passengers that are arriving off an airplane/bus tour. DO NOT forget to allow sufficient time to enjoy your light meal at Guano Point.
